What are your candles made of?
We ONLY use all-natural Soy wax that is grown and manufactured in North America. They are made with premium phthalate-free fragrance oil and no additives have been added. All of the wicks used in the candles are 100% cotton which are free of metal, lead and zinc.
Why all-natural Soy Wax?
Soy wax is derived from a vegetables, (soy beans), while it’s counter partner, paraffin wax is derived from petroleum (a refined a gasoline product).
Soy wax is a natural, renewable resource.
There are no toxins or pollutants
Soy wax is biodegradable and cleans up easily with soap and water.
Vegan friendly
Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax, meaning that a soy candle burns at a lower temperature than a paraffin wax candle. This leads to a much slower and longer- lasting burn. On average, a soy candle will burn 30 - 50 % longer than its same-sized paraffin candle counterpart.
Soy wax candles are a healthier choice, especially for those with allergies, asthma, or sensitivities to air quality.
How can I make my candles last longer?
Take a look at our “Candle Care” page for valuable information on extending the life of your candles. Ensure that you follow all the steps listed, and your candles will last a long time. Always remember to trim your wick to 1/4” before you burn your new candle and let it burn for only 3-4 hours at a time.
Why does the candle surface appear to be turning white over time?
Handmade/ Artisan soy candles can develop a frosty appearance after they cool. It's called “frosting” because it looks just like frost on a window. Frosting occures because the natural soy wax forms a crystalline structure as it cools and hardens. This is typical of all-natural soy wax candles. It’s also very important to note that this does not affect the performance of the scented candle.
What are the wet areas that I see on the side of the glass candle container?
The wet spots that you see are not really "wet areas." The areas or spots are caused by shrinkage and air bubbles that occur as the wax cools. Please note that this does not at all affect the perfomance of the scented candle.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Here at The Greenhouse Candle Studio, we take pride in every candle that we hand-pour for you. We want to create candles that you will love and enjoy for a very long time. If for any reason something isn’t right, we are always here to help you.
What if I receive damaged product?
We take care to ensure your candles are properly protected during transit, but appreciate that damages may occur.
Please inspect your package as soon as it arrives. If your package arrives damaged during delivery, you may return your unused candle(s) in its original packaging for a full refund within 7 days of delivery. You must also provide photographic proof of damage. We will provide you with a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package.
Can I exchange my candle for another candle?
You are welcome to exchange your product for another candle of the same size and price within 10 days of purchase in original packaging and as long as it has not been used. You are responsible for the delivery cost.
It’s important to note that we can only accept the return of items that are complete, in perfect condition (aside from shipping damage mentioned above), unused and in the original packaging they arrived in. Please reach out to us at info@thegreenhousecandlestudio.com
I bought a candle at your Market or Pop Up Event what is the return policy?
When you purchase one of our candles in-person at Markets or Pop- Up events, please note that all sales are “Final Sale”.
We will not accept exchanges, returns, or refunds on these products.
What’s the policy regarding Promotional , Discounted or Limited Edition Candles?
Promotional, limited edition or discounted candles are “Final Sale” and unfortunatley are not eligible for exchanges, returns or refunds.
Unfortunately, we cannot refund or replace candles that have been used.
SHIPPING
Can I pick up my order from your Studio?
Unfortunately, we are not offering pick up.
How Long Until I see my candle?
It typically takes up to 3 day to process, 3-6 days for shipping.
Where do you ship your candles from?
All our candles are shipped from The Greenhouse Candle Studio located in Ontario, Canada.
Do you ship outside of Canada?
Currently, we are not shipping Internationally.
